Truth and Temper

The acrylic kit I ordered off ebay arrived today. Not going to lie i was skeptical as it’s come from Hong Kong, and the items are most definitely not of the highest quality but I think I have done ok with my first try. The first photo just shows everything that came in the kit, the only thing missing was a primer, but I don’t think that this was essential to my first test as I really buffed my nails down before applying the acrylic and the powder. After I managed to do the full set (which was hard as I didn’t have the correct application brush) I started experimenting with a couple of different varnish techniques, the first was pretty difficult as I don’t think I used the right sponge to get the gradient effect I was after. 

The second attempt was with a set of varnish pens I bought (again off ebay) which are ok, the actual pen is really think like a needle, but the varnish is quite thin and runny so came out too quickly and doesn’t provide much control over the amount going on to the nail. I think I managed ok!
